Star Rupture Cycle

The Star Rupture cycle is the core survival mechanic of StarRupture. Arcadia-7 experiences periodic catastrophic solar events that follow a predictable pattern: Normal daylight operations, a Wave Warning phase signaling incoming danger, the Ruptura itself (a devastating fire wave that scorches the surface), and finally the Scorched Earth phase where caves become accessible for Quartz gathering.

During Ruptura, players must shelter inside their habitat or face lethal damage. Vermin swarms become more aggressive during wave warnings, attacking the base in increasing numbers. The cycle creates a natural rhythm of building and defending that drives the entire gameplay loop.
