Corporation Progression Guide: Which Factions to Level First
Date Published

StarRupture's five corporations are the primary progression system. Each one unlocks different buildings, weapons, items, and technologies. Choosing which corporations to level first has a major impact on your early and mid-game experience. This guide breaks down each corporation and recommends the optimal progression path.
How Corporation Leveling Works
After completing the Training Corporation (roughly 2 levels), you gain access to all five main corporations simultaneously. You level them by delivering manufactured goods via the Orbital Cargo Launcher or by spending Terminal Points at the Corporate Terminal. Each level requires specific items in specific quantities, so your factory needs to be producing the right products. Data Points can be spent at the Corporate Terminal as an alternative progression path.
Selenian Corporation (Materials and Fabrication)
Selenian is the materials and fabrication powerhouse. Its technology tree unlocks the core processing chain: Smelter, Furnace, Refinery, Mega Press, and Assembler. Most players prioritize Selenian early because without these processing buildings, you cannot manufacture the products required by other corporations. Selenian is the foundation that everything else builds on.
Moon Energy Corporation (Power and Scanning)
Moon Energy provides Solar Generators, Wind Turbines, Geo Scanners, and mapping tools. Power is always the bottleneck in StarRupture, and Moon Energy is the only path to better generators. Wind Turbine v1 (+200 power) is a game-changer compared to Solar v1 (+10 power). Late-game Moon Energy unlocks include the Laser Emitter production chain. Level Moon Energy early alongside Selenian to avoid power shortages.
Griffits Blue Corporation (Weapons and Defense)
Griffits Blue unlocks all firearms, grenades, defense turrets, and towers. It also awards War Bonds at certain levels, which are spent on weapon purchases and mods at the Equipment Upgrade Station. Getting to Griffits Blue Level 2 for the free UPP-7 Pistol and Level 3 for Grenades should be an early priority. Further levels provide the War Bonds needed for the MAR-9 Phantom and other weapons. Defense Turrets unlocked through Griffits Blue are essential for base protection.
Clever Robotics (Logistics and Automation)
Clever Robotics unlocks advanced rail systems, drone junctions, cargo dispatchers, and teleporters. These buildings are not essential in the early game but become increasingly valuable as your factory grows more complex. The Superconductor, unlocked at top-tier Clever Robotics levels, is required for the most advanced manufacturing recipes. Level this corporation in the mid game when logistics become a bottleneck.
Future Health Solutions (Survival and LEMs)
Future Health focuses on survival, health, food production, and LEM augmentation. It unlocks the Medtool at Level 3, food production systems, and access to advanced LEM technology. The Ion Injector at top-tier levels is another end-game component. Future Health is less urgent than the other corporations in the early game but becomes valuable once you start taking on tougher Vermin encounters and need sustained healing capabilities.
Recommended Progression Order
For most players, the optimal order is: Complete Training Corporation first. Then level Selenian and Griffits Blue in parallel (Selenian for processors, Griffits Blue for weapons and turrets). Next, bring Moon Energy up for better power generation. Then level Clever Robotics for logistics as your factory grows. Finally, level Future Health Solutions for survival tools and LEMs. This order ensures you always have the tools you need at each stage of the game.
Keep in mind that high-tier recipes often require components unlocked from different corporation trees. You will eventually need to level all five corporations to access the most advanced content, so do not neglect any one corporation for too long.
